Requirements:

  • Technical Degree and 15+ years relevant experience in engineering and or Project experience in the oil and gas industry;
  • Recognized experience in relevant pipeline engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience;
  • Experience in responding to and repairing Onshore and Offshore Pipelines under normal and/or emergency conditions;
  • Company pipelines operation and maintenance experience (preferable);
  • Expert knowledge of relevant project & business control standards and project engineering best practices;
  • Proven ability to work within a multicultural environment;
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with a proven track record;
  • Can work with limited direction and can contribute through others;
  • Ability to quickly establish relationships to ensure discipline engineering processes and standards are consistently applied;
  • Demonstrable interpersonal & communication skills;
  • Energetic person with drive and stamina who is solution-oriented, and who can deal with a multitude of challenging issues positively;
  • HSSE driven mindset;
  • Good English language skills;
  • Ability to write and review technical documentation in English;
  • Good knowledge of International engineering standards, best practices, and systems;
  • Aware of & familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high H2S facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the scope of work required to close the gaps in Company's EPRS System namely:
  • Define per pipeline, per damage, per pipeline zone scenario what equipment, materials, procedures and services are required to respond and affect a repair.
  • Define the current status of EPRS system in Kashagan facility.
  • Contact vendors to define the latest specifications of their response / repair equipment
  • Contact service providers to define their capabilities (e.g. specialist welding of Inconel 625/825 etc.).
  • Define with Logistics what access and repair services are currently available within Company (e.g. vessels, trucks, cranes etc.) and what call-off service contract(s) are required.
  • Define whether the direct procurement of such equipment and services should be performed by Company (noting the total life cycle cost of warehousing, preservation) whether EPRS should go to a turnkey service provider or whether partially be covered by Company and by Contractor.
  • Work closely with C&P and Budget department to:
  • Develop EPRS Strategy, Contracting and Tendering Strategies;
  • Prepare pre-qualification, bid evaluation screening requirements etc.
  • Respond to Bidder Technical Queries;
  • Perform in conjunction with the Pipelines Team and C&P the Bid evaluations in order to select the appropriate vendor / services provider;
  • Support in Contract Budget justification to TGA and PSA to gain approval;
  • Support in attending the MCB for Contract award;
  • Hold kick off meeting with the selected vendor / services provider or turnkey service provider.
  • Prepare Decommissioning, Isolation and Recommissioning Procedures;
  • Perform in conjunction with Pipeline TA2 an EPRS status health check in the last month of the assignment;
  • Provide training to national staff / future contract holder on the Emergency Pipeline Response Preparedness and Repair Response.
